UPRISE Festival Europe 5: Thursday 20th April 2017, 9 – 18.30
This year, the UPRISE Festival takes place on 20th April and promises to continue its tradition of putting people first and technology second. There will be no wifi for the 3-5000 participants, as well as no one-way talks or apps to get distracted. The event focuses on showcasing inventive, innovative young companies, and brings together 6 Stages of fresh content from Linkedin, Microsoft, Google, Adobe and ABN AMRO and more.
This year’s edition is called Propaganda and Product, and the initiatives revolve around themes such as responsibility of the media, brand advertising, marketing and self-promotion, sextech and new recruitment.
The brand new 42 hours of Content Stages from sales to recruitment bring profile panelists from all over the world together. Workshops, Panels, Talkshops, Burn sessions and Special Activities make up the 48 hours of content throughout the day including sessions to hack politics, discover the company who redesigned the apple retail interiors and get sneak peaks into Adobe’s new products while discovering Europe’s hottest growing companies on the marketplace. On stage 124 Speakers, including founders and CEO’s from Monzo London, N26 Berlin, Freshlabs, Galaxonic, The scale-up group, Geektastic, Endiet Capital and Rockstart Accelerator.
The festival adds bands and food trucks to the environment to make new young businesses more approachable, investable and connected. The epic Startup pitch battle pits 6 international startups against 6 Netherlands based Startups in a frenzy of audience questions and reactions as they make the decision of what company they want to win.
