This part-time Digital Product Management Online Course is a project-based 8-week live learning experience that will give you the skills, knowledge and mindset needed to define, build and improve Digital Products.
It is an interactive program that combines practical self-study and live project-based sessions with experienced Product leaders. You will join workshops and networking events that are designed to boost your career.
Other than the self-paced lessons and live teaching from real-world professionals, you will also receive a unique learning experience with personal mentoring and tutoring customised to your needs.
Who is it for?
This course is designed for people with empathy, an analytical mindset with a rational approach to problem-solving and some aesthetic sensibility.
It is ideal for junior Project Managers or Project Owners who wish to strengthen their already existing skills, as well as professionals from Engineering/Marketing/Design/Data that want to pivot their career towards Product Management.

To participate in the course, you ideally have:
- 1-2 years experience as junior Product Manager or Product Owner
- Or: previous experience in Product-driven companies, in areas such as Data Science, Engineering, UX Design.

What is a Digital Product Manager and what does a Digital Product Manager do?
Product Management is a discipline that combines customer understanding, business, and technology to ultimately deliver value. Depending on the organisation’s scale and stage, a Product Manager is responsible for all the strategic and tactical aspects of building a digital product that will deliver value to customers and the business. They do so by analysing customer problems and opportunities, prioritising them based on qualitative and quantitative data, and working with the team in designing and implementing the best solutions – ultimately, managing stakeholders’ expectations by communicating both the strategy and the execution details effectively. In a nutshell, a Product Manager is a good problem solver with a great dose of empathy.

Your journey to become a Digital Product Manager
Take a deep dive into the world of Digital Product Management. The live sessions are designed as practical and interactive as possible. You will learn by applying your newly acquired data analysis skills in smaller group projects with your classmates, supported by experts.

By the end of this module, you will learn the basics of Digital Product Management, what the role of a Product Manager is as well as Agile Software development cycles.

In this module, you will understand how to gather customer insights, build hypothesis and experiments based on these insights, and bring it all together into the traditional development cycle.
Data-driven Product Management
After this module, you will be able to make product decisions based on statistical and relevant data.
Product Management and Business
In this module, you will learn how to make an impact on the business, depending on the company-specific business model; deliver incremental value, and utilise the right prioritisation framework.
From Vision and Mission to execution
You will learn how to connect everything a Product team does with the strategy and the company’s KPIs.
Communication and stakeholders management
In this module, you will be taught how to communicate strategy, goals, roadmap and prioritisation to stakeholders in an effective way.
Gino Micacchiscientific coordinator
Gino Micacchi is a computer engineer and Executive MBA from Bocconi University in Milan, he previously covered different product leadership and advisory positions for start-ups and tech companies in Europe, such as Habitissimo, ABA English, Softonic, MusixMatch, BeMyEye and 21Buttons, among others. Gino is also the organizer of the Barcelona local chapter of ProductTank, a global series of meetups for Product Managers with roots in more than 100 cities in the world.

Guido is an experienced Product Leader with 13 years working across different industries and business models. He’s passionate about fintech, marketplaces, growth and scaling product organizations.
He’s also highly engaged with the product community as a ProductTank co-organiser in Barcelona and Buenos Aires, two of the largest product meetups in the world.
Katia is passionate about building B2B and B2C products for established businesses and startups with more than 15 years of international experience in companies such as eBay, eDreams and Schibsted Media Group. Currently, she is responsible for driving innovative credit solutions at PayPal as Lead Product EMEA. Katia has a master’s degree in Business Administration at Bocconi University and a certificate in Design Thinking from Stanford University.

A Typical Week
Before the week starts, you go through the self-study material, which takes around 2-3 hours each module.
MONDAY and WEDNESDAY:
🕒 18:00 – 21:00 CET – Live Session
Start with discussing the self study material which you went through independently before class with the expert and your colleagues. Then practice, practice, practice! Apply your new knowledge to exercises or your group project. Discuss and debate a case study defined by the expert to get even more confident with applying your skills.
💼 Networking/Career Event
During the live sessions you will have three networking experiences. Take the chance to build your professional network! You will meet members of the international Talent Garden community, who might be future partners, customers, colleagues or friends. If the event is not about networking, we help you to boost your career, e.g. with a workshop about building your UX portfolio.

Dive deeper into the world of Digital Product Management
Lean management has its roots in a corporate management vision oriented towards constant improvement and evolution. No matter whether it is a product or manufacturing company, or whether it is a large, medium or small-sized service company: the lean approach can be applied to any type of company. Lean management is based on lean thinking, that is the analysis of wasted time within a company and its reduction or elimination through the creation of method and process.
As an essential tool in any marketing strategy today, buyer personas cannot be missing from a strategic document, whether it’s about product launches, communication campaigns or digital strategies. Unlike classic brand analysis tools (such as charts, positioning maps, SWOT analysis and so on), buyer personas have a unique charm, because they describe real people – consumers who have the appearance of being our peers, detaching themselves from the cold and mathematical world of data analysis.
The implementation of a tool such as a Customer (or User) Journey Map will be very useful in decision-making based on the effective use of our products by users. Such decisions are to be taken not just with regards to design and user experience but also to marketing and sales from which we can then extract valuable information about users who are actually interacting with our products.
Innovation is not a simple process. It requires companies to question themselves and accept risks, but it is also the only way to remain competitive in a constantly evolving market. This is why the Innovation Funnel is such an important tool: it allows companies to develop winning ideas and manage business innovation in a rational way, avoiding wasting money and resources and remaining constantly focused on the objectives to be achieved.
