Founded in 2009, the company’s Italian headquarters are in Rome, specifically in Talent Garden Poste Italiane, our vibrant campus in the heart of the city.

We had a chat with the Italian team to learn more about their business.

1. When and how did the idea of onefinestay come out? In which countries do you operate?

We set out in 2009 to give people a special way to experience our favourite cities. onefinestay is a hospitality brand like no other – offering an unprecedented level of service and individualised stays in the finest homes. We seek out the best homes, looking for space, character and comfort, so you can experience them in the best way. We know what counts when you’re travelling – a friendly face to meet you, beds made with pristine sheets, the towels and toiletries taken care of to our exacting standards. And we know that you want space and freedom to create your own experiences. So we’re available 24/7 if you need us, but we step back when you don’t.

In April 2016, we became part of the AccorHotels family, joining luxury brands like Fairmont Raffles and Sofitel. Today we have over 10,000 homes in 200 destinations worldwide. And, supported by the world’s leading hotel operator, we’re bringing our renowned hospitality to the greatest cities around the globe.

2. How does onefinestay differ from Airbnb?

Our greatest divergence from the marketplaces in this category is our personalized, professional service and exceptional experience for both guests and homeowners. onefinestay’s model has oriented entirely around delivering an elevated experience and peace-of-mind to discerning travellers and homeowners.

The onefinestay experience is fully-managed by our professional team from listing the home and managing the booking through to the stay itself. We invest time to understand our guests, then anticipate their individual needs including a team of Travel Advisors to give personalised booking experiences and finding the right homes for stays, a concierge service to tailor each stay with extras (from airport transfers and grocery deliveries to restaurant reservations and housekeeping, luxurious treats like spa services, private chefs and butlers and even completely bespoke experiences like music shows, fireworks, hot air balloon excursions and private plane tours.)

We excel in the art of curation. We select the finest homes in the best destinations.

3. Why did you choose Talent Garden Poste Italiane as location? What are the positive aspects of a coworking space?

The biggest push was the opportunity to be a part of an engaged community who share our passion for creativity, innovation and growth.

The location is ideal for our team and business; the terrace is a great place to meet and talk with other companies and freelancers in the building and connect with their networks as well (our ‘co-taggers!’ they will know what this means).

4. What is your social media communication strategy?

We create and publish engaging and original content with the aim of informing and inspiring both our loyal and target audiences using a mixture of interior and lifestyle shots, plus we also use our own channels as platforms to keep our guests and homeowners up to speed with the latest news and announcements.

We listen to the needs of the business and support other teams’ campaigns focusing in a relevant and creative way on the appropriate channels. We partner with like-minded brands and Influencers to cross promote and build relationships and trust throughout the industry.

5. What is your short-term expansion plan?

In the last two years onefinestay has grown its portfolio from just a few cities to nearly 200 locations around the world, encompassing both urban and leisure destinations.

In May 2018, onefinestay expanded to Australia, New Zealand, Barcelona, The Cotswolds and opened a resort collection of 10 villas, called Agios Lazaros villas, in Mykonos.

Looking ahead, we will continue to bring onefinestay’s unique experience to even more destinations around the globe.
