Meet the startups at Talent Garden Rainmaking: Legalhero

At Talent Garden Rainmaking, we pride ourselves on having a unique community. However, a strong community is only as strong as the members that are part of it.

In this series, we want to give you an introduction to some of our members in our coworking space. What problems are they working to solve? Why did they choose to huddle up in an old naval building with a lot of other startups and what are their plans moving ahead.

What is LegalHero?

LegalHero is a digital platform for SMB’s and in-house counsel. An alternative to the traditional law firms, providing dynamic templates, legal hotline, and a marketplace with hundreds of pre-vetted legal experts. All available at fixed costs on one simple and secure platform.

How long have you been at Talent Garden Rainmaking?

We’ve been members of Talent Garden Rainmaking for almost two years. Initially, we were just two guys sharing a desk, but now we’re a team of 7 people so we moved into one of the team rooms. This kind of flexibility, being able to scale up and down as you go, is great. It has given us a huge amount of value and comfort to have the opportunity to scale from 2 to 7 people without struggling to find a new place to be.

What are the benefits of joining a coworking space?

Joining a coworking space is extremely valuable for any entrepreneur, no matter how experienced you are. If you are just starting out or have a couple of ventures under your belt, being amongst other entrepreneurs and startups is incredibly helpful.

You get to share the ride with like-minded people and you can always get the advice you need. Either from someone who has been in a similar situation like yourself or someone with a twisted mind that can help you spark creativity and get you going when you hit a rough patch. And, of course, the Friday bars are more fun.

What to look for in a coworking space?

Most days I spend more time at the office than I do at home. Therefore, for me, it is important that it’s a nice place to be. Many spaces can provide the same surroundings in terms of facilities. The most important difference between coworking spaces is their ability and willingness to invest in actively helping the startups. Having spent time at a couple of different coworking spaces, I have truly come to appreciate the people running the place.

Of course, the team helps you create a nice space to get your daily things done, but it’s there’s more to it than that. Having a team that invests time and effort into helping you make the right introductions is extremely valuable. That is the most important thing when looking for a coworking space.

Why did Legalhero join Talent Garden Rainmaking?

Previously we were in another coworking space. We were very happy there too, but we reached a point where we needed something bigger and somewhere where we could close the door.

We found that at Talent Garden Rainmaking, and we instantly fell in love with the people and the community here. It’s a busy environment with cool, inspiring people working hard on some really cool projects. Also, we have a culture here where nobody’s too busy to grab a beer or a coffee in the café.

I guess – and hope – to get to a point where it would make better sense to find our own office. But for now, we really enjoy being a part of the Talent Garden Rainmaking family, and we don’t see us moving anytime soon.
