In this 12-week intensive UX Design Bootcamp, you will be immersed in the world of User Experience Design, becoming an expert in one of 2021’s most in-demand skills. Set entirely in person at the Talent Garden Campus, the program will give you the knowledge and mindset needed to create the frictionless, user-friendly and extraordinary customer experiences that tech companies want. The faculty will also be available for 1:1 coaching sessions throughout the course.

Who is the Bootcamp for?
This Bootcamp is designed for participants who want to learn how to create outstanding user experiences to either start a career as a UX designer or integrate UX skills into their current profession. As we create a class of creative and innovative minds that want to challenge themselves, we are looking for applicants who show empathy, an analytical mindset, a rational approach to problem-solving and an innate aesthetic sensibility. Previous experience or knowledge in UX design is not needed.
Please note that the Bootcamp is in English, so a proficient knowledge of the language is required.

What is a UX Designer and what does a UX Designer do?
A UX Designer is a « user experience » expert who can research and solves users’ needs by analysing how people perceive a given experience, digital or otherwise. UX Professionals create effective solutions for design problems, ensuring smooth usability with a high conversion rate.
At the end of the Bootcamp, you will be able to:
- Understand the definition of user experience and the competitive value of working on UX

Discover how to become a UX Designer
In this 12-week UX Design Bootcamp, we will cover all topics to help you launch your career as a User Experience Designer. We will start at the basics but then quickly proceed to the human-centric design process, web and graphic design and engineering: analysis, prototyping, UI and Interaction Design, and User Research.
Module 1
Design Thinking
You will understand Design Thinking as a methodology, framework and mindset, as well as be able to implement Design Thinking and Design Sprints in UX projects to solve problems and build „The Right It“.
UX Basics
After this module, you will know the terms, principles, norms and standards of usability, as well as understand the importance of usability and UX within the development process.
Module 2
Perception
This module teaches the mechanisms of human perception, which will give you insights into cognitive psychology and mental models that lead to more usable designs.
Module 3
User Research & Requirements
After this module, you will understand the importance of user research and requirements engineering within the usability life cycle. You will become familiar with various methods to do user research and to specify and analyze your user requirements and define the information architecture.
Module 4
Design: Basics and Principles, Graphic, UI and Interaction Design
This module teaches visual design principles and their patterns. You will understand the difference between web and mobile design and become familiar with interaction, movement and contextual design. You will learn how to use Figma, first by getting an introduction to its functionalities and what it means to design an application, then by creating your first screens.
Module 5
Prototyping
You will know different prototyping techniques and software tools to visualize ideas and thoughts step by step. You will also discover the principle of iteration to create a fully functional and interactive prototype.
Module 6
Development & Handoff
You will know the basic terminology of web development and the parts that make up a website or app so that you can talk to programmers on an equal footing. You learn how to hand over your designs to programmers.
Module 7
Usability Testing
This module introduces you to the various methods and technologies of user research. After gaining experience in planning, conducting and evaluating usability tests, you will be able to choose the method that best fits a given problem.
Module 8
UX Management
This module provides an understanding of the UX industry, its culture and its roles. You will be able to successfully select, integrate, manage and measure UX strategies and will become familiar with the latest UX market trends.
Career Support
We will support you with career activities in the last week of the Bootcamp and after it. Workshops will teach you how to build a portfolio to improve your digital presence. Additionally, you will learn about our partner companies’ job opportunities and get the chance to interview for them.

Rudolf Zwieselbauer
coordinateur scientifiqueRudolf Zwieselbauer is a UX architect and an advocate of user experience from the very first minute. He breathes and advocates user-centred design. He has more than 12 years of experience in digital, web, and app design and is an expert in high-fidelity interactive prototyping.
He holds a Bachelor’s degree in Multimedia Arts with a focus on web development from Middlesex University London and a Master’s degree in User Experience Management from the University of Applied Sciences Vienna. He has a passion for cutting-edge technologies such as 3D printing, artificial intelligence, and mixed reality as well as human-computer interaction, the Internet of Things, and ubiquitous computing.
As Scientific Coordinator, he is responsible for the content of the Bootcamp and ensures that it is always adapted to the current needs of the labor market.

Alessandro Dallafina is a Senior Product Designer driven by innovative ways of translating products into superior user/customer experiences. He is passionate about openness, technology, digital media and the future. Over the years, his projects have been published in world-recognized books, newspapers, and magazines. Previously he led the User Interface Design and User Experience for 500px Marketplace, helping millions of buyers to purchase high-quality photography. At Getty Images, he led the visual advertising (print and digital) for the Italian market. He also acquired great experience as an information designer when he worked for the cutting-edge data visualization lab, DensityDesign in Europe.

Benjamin Pazdernik is a digital all-rounder currently specializing in UX/UI design, as well as building and maintaining design systems that scale and work across multiple departments. In 2020 he co-founded the start-up boomerank.io, where he is responsible for product development. He also supports BIPA by building an internal design system and continuously improving the general CX of the BIPA online shop. Before that, he led a small agency where he and his team built websites, online shops and online platforms for various SMEs.

Marc is a psychologist with more than 10 years of experience in applied user research and usability testing. His focus is on data-driven analysis and the measurement of user experience, usability and technology acceptance. In addition to conducting and publishing original research on user behaviour, he consults large and small companies on strategies, processes and approaches to incorporate user-centred design into their digital product development lifecycle.

Christiane Moser is a UX Research & Design Freelancer having more than 14 years of experience in the field of UX and a tech background. The last 4 years, she has been working as UX Freelancer for SMEs in Europe. Ever since she loved to share her knowledge and experiences, therefore, she is mentoring UX Researcher and Designer around the globe on ADPList and teaching at the Applied University of Salzburg as well as at Talent Garden Vienna.

We will support you with career activities in the last week of the Bootcamp, as well as after it. Workshops will teach you how to build a portfolio to improve your digital presence. CV and LinkedIn Workshop
You will understand how to write a perfect CV and set up your LinkedIn profile. You will have the possibility to have a 1:1 meeting to review how your CV gives value to your unique experience.
Portfolio Workshop and Review
You will learn how to create your first UX portfolio with the guidance of an experienced designer. When you work on your portfolio, book a 1:1 mentoring session to get feedback from an expert to ensure it’s ready to show to the companies.
Company Challenges
You will meet companies that want to hire UX designers through a ‘challenge’ method. There is no interview but a practical experience brief to show your skills.
Talent Days
Companies with open positions will join the Talent Days to meet our students in effective 1:1 interviews.

Scholarships
We believe in personal merit and reward it! Together with our partner companies, we offer one full scholarship* to help a young talent who wants to become a digital professional.
To apply for a scholarship, you must participate in the Scholarship Challenge. You will receive the project brief in the feedback email from the Orientation & Admission team member, and you have to submit it back within the given deadline.
The Scholarship Challenge is available until September 2nd. Applications made after this date won’t be eligible for a scholarship. The scholarship winner will be announced on September 9th, 2022.

You don’t have to pay all at once. The Bootcamp tuition can be divided into three separate instalments and the sooner you sign up, the less you pay!

🙃 Flipped Classroom: To make the most of your time in the classroom, you will be sent material in advance. You will read articles, listen to podcasts, watch videos etc. to immerse yourself in a topic. You will develop a basic understanding and come prepared to the live sessions. This allows us to focus on discussions to deepen your knowledge and application in case studies and projects. With this methodology we accelerate your learning curve.
🙌 Hands-on Workshops: Our Bootcamps focus on practical workshops where you get your hands dirty and apply your newly acquired skills in various projects from the very beginning. During the workshops you will receive continuous support and feedback from the experts and your colleagues.
🧠 Experienced Experts: Our instructors are experts in their field and have many years of professional experience. 👥 Group Project: In the second week of the Bootcamp you will start working together with your team on a group project. You will have an Agile & Scrum workshop at the beginning of the project, where you will learn how to organize yourselves as a team according to the Scrum framework and how to work together efficiently. You will get support from our experts and present your progress during the regular milestone presentations.
💻 Personal Project: In the last weeks it is time for you to make a difference! You will apply everything you have learned to a personal project. At the very end of the course you will get the chance to present the results of your work to experts and your peers.
Your Typical Day
🕘 09:00 – 10:00 Self Study Time
Start your day by going through some self-study material to prepare yourself for the learning session with the expert. You can also meet with your classmates for a coffee and discuss course topics.
🕙 10:00 – 13:00 Practical Live Session
Start with discussing the self study material you have learned independently before the session with the expert and your classmates. Then go deeper and apply your newly acquired skills in a hands-on workshop.
🕐 13:00 – 14:00 Lunch Break
Get back your energy and take a break before you start your afternoon session.
🕑 14:00 – 18:00 Project Work and One-to-One Mentoring
In the afternoon you will carry out group project work with your team. You can also book a one-to-one meeting with an expert to discuss any doubts together.
🕡 18:30-19:30 Evening Event
On some evenings, you meet special guests from the industry sharing their story and experiences with you or other community members to grow your professional network.
